Toes don’t seem that useful in everyday life, but in AcroYoga they are super important for balance and support.

Here’s a picture of me and my friend Rich, in Bird.  Can you see his toes pushing into me?  In Bird, the Flyer (me, in this picture) can ask for “more toe” if they feel like they’re starting to tip forward.  The Base will point their toes a bit more, which changes the angle of the feet and helps the Flyer stay lifted.”

I never heard of this type of yoga.  Very interesting and great photo!
