Washington, D.C.

iamrin writes, “In the Spring of 2009, my dear Jamie and I wandered through the Hirshhorn Museum (part of the Smithsonian).  In addition to seeing the great Louise Bourgeois retrospective, we wandered downstairs and caught a very cool exhibit – Strange Bodies: Figurative Works from the Hirshhorn Collection.

One of the most fascinating pieces was the Big Man – an incredibly detailed sculpture that sat in a corner, almost seven feet tall. It was incredibly compelling, to the point where we got so close… we actually set off the alarms… Bad form. These photos were taken with a point & shoot, so the quality is not amazing. But still worth a look! “
