Jane writes, “This is the story of Clara Cadoodle, who lives in a house in the land of Bazoodle. Clara is a girl who loves to play, she could play all night and play all day (except at night she has to sleep, cause her mommy says, “not a peep”).
When you ask Clara what she wants to play, it’s hard for her to know what to say. She could use her Playdoh to make a cake, or maybe draw a purple snake. She could sing a song while jumping high, or blow big bubbles that touch the sky. When she plays, she’s been known to shout, “HURRAY!”
Clara Cadoodle lives in Bazoodle with her mother, her father, and her brother-a-doodle. Her brother, Gustopher, or sometimes just Gus, likes to watch Clara, like the rest of us. Gustopher Cadoodle listens and looks as his sister plays with her toys and her books.
He wants to be able to play a lot more, but it’s hard to play when you’re stuck on the floor. He spends lots of time on his tummy, we hear, watching and touching all that is near. He reaches for books and blocks and such, but he really can’t get around very much. When he can crawl, he’s sure to have a ball!
Clara and Gus have a new basement hideaway, but more about that another day.”
