I took this photo in Rosarito Beach, Mexico while on a girl’s weekend getaway in 2007. I went with 3 of my best friends from high school (although we were all 40 at the time). This photo reminds me of what I learned that weekend. The simple things in life are the most precious; time with dear friends, an afternoon with a beer on the beach, the feeling of sand between your toes. I don’t need a fancy resort, or a fancy drink or to hang out with rich and famous people. The Kenny Chesney song “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems” comes to mind.
Love those toe rings!

Thanks for the post. Wishing I was back there on that beach (and with that tan)!
Thanks for dropping by.
I used to love going to Rosarito when I lived in California and was much younger. Your picture reminds me of how relaxing Mexico is.
Siesta is kind of a huge culture shock, but it changes the way you go through your day, I thought it was quite relaxing as well.
Love love love the theme of your blog! Also think you have super cute toes too, so that makes it even more fun
Thanks for dropping by, RJ!
