“This is Marcia saying goodbye to her students after being with the ‘Wat Doi Saket project’ for nine months. She started as a volunteer and liked the program so much, she stayed an extra five months to help. Marcia lived at Wat Doi Saket (Buddhist temple) and was a teacher, tutor, wrote our custom curriculum, helped with website development, volunteer coordination and many other things. Thanks for all your help Marcia and hope to see you back in Thailand soon!
The Wat Doi Saket project is a cultural exchange program that places volunteers to live and teach Buddhist monks English while being fully immersed in Thai culture. Wat is the Thai word for temple. “
