After arriving in the middle of the night and de-plane-ing with a world-famous Thai massage, my grandiose entrance to Thai life began with a tour of the royal palace, complete with a tuktuk ride to get there. I mean, I’ve never been to Asia (sans that one time Crazy and I rode the bus across the bridge in Istanbul and back, and technically the Middle East) and I figured this was the best, most touristy way I could welcome myself to the this side of the world.
(Of course, I’m never one to take myself too seriously. Royal palace or not…)
