Hi and welcome to toemail! We are Quillan and Angela and we started this blog in 2010 after deciding it might be fun to do a mail-in photo blog. We look forward to hearing from you!

toemail is a collaborative photography project featuring original photographs of toes of both genders, from the newborn to the elderly, photographed at outdoor or indoor locations around the globe.

HOW TO  SUBMIT:

  • Attach your photos in an email and send them to us at toemailers (at) gmail . com
  • Include the location where the photos were taken.
  • Include a short story about your photos, if you like.
  • If you have a blog or website, include your link and it will appear on your post and in our TOEMAIL COMMUNITY.

Good Cause Blogs and Websites:

  • To be listed in our community as a good cause blog or website, your site needs to be devoted to one particular subject/cause.
  • Causes for animals are also welcome but also require a human foot photo.

We also accept images in the form of paintings, drawings, sculptures, video and more.

Your submission must include a bare foot, feet or at least one toe.

If you’ve submitted before you may submit again and may do so as often as you wish.

We do not accept photos, or any content, that is sexual in nature or could be construed as such. That is not our premise.

Our premise, simply, is that our toes represent where we are now or where we have been. We see it as a form of self-portraiture that includes toes within a photographic setting.

The goal of the blog is to share photos from around the world and have fun. If we can promote any good causes while doing so, then all the better.

    I have been doing this for years. To me, it’s so much more interesting than just a picture of scenery or something. It says “I was here” because everyone’s feet are so distinctive (which is something else I love.)

      Right on, Grace. These are remarkable self portraits in many ways. I find there is much less judgment going on and we get a more natural feel for the person.

      Yea, we did change the decor a little, :) You could always try one with your left foot, we don’t have crazy strict rules here, lol.

    It is my toes in Havaianas and the sand is from the beautiful Tulum beach in Mexico. You may use the picture in bigger format ;-)
