Traipsing round the Cambodian temples of Angkor is hard on the old feet, so we stopped at one of the Dr. Fish stands in the middle of Siem Reap. The fishies loved my feet, and once I’d got over the initial ticklishness, my feet loved the little fishies too.
Nice shot, sure looks like it tickles. :)

On June 3rd, 2012 I went fishing and kayaking in Istan with my friend Joanna and her parents. The scenery was so beautiful and the best part was that we were the only people, except for a few annoying teenagers, within the whole reservoir. Joanna and I were a little hungover after hitting one of our favourite bars, Room 101, for some Caipirinhas so we enjoyed paddling in the kayak. Our guide, Captain Amer, showed us how to fish for bass which is actually hard! We brought a feast of cheese, meat, and fruit, giving us a reason to stop for lunch three times. The scenery was beautiful with mountains surrounding us and crystal blue skies, it’s a must if you get the chance to visit Marbella.
Although the girls unfortunately did not catch any fish, Joanna’s dad was like a fish whisperer and caught five. I will admit that I think I have created an irrational fear to fish. I never want to be the prissy girl but every time the fish was near me I would squeal in such a high pitch that only dogs could hear. This only got worse when it came to killing and gutting the fish, which left me agape. This also made me wonder…..for times like these a boyfriend would come in pretty useful (All macho men may apply ) We were also allowed to bring our catch home for dinner, YUM! Here are some pictures of us two enjoying the Marbella sunshine and Captain Amer’s activities.
Very nice shots, looks like you had a great time despite all those fish! :)

This is one is a series of tribal fish that I made last year. I used a stencil for the background, sprayed it with ink, then washed over it with some matte medium.
My artist friends were always teasing me about my obsession with fish and I had ripped out the tribal men from a magazine, but inadvertently ripped off the heads! So I stuck a fish head on him. It worked for me. :)
Love it! :)

I love fish, I love the shape of them, the colour… I find them fascinating. Maybe it is because I am a Pisces.
Here are my own toes encased in fish sandals.
Love these sandals!

Great painting; fish and all! :) Love the surrealism!

Susan writes, “A brave older woman was sitting in a shopfront window having this foot spa treatment and I thought it made a great visual: the reflections, the light, the unusual subject matter. Not something one sees every day.”
Very interesting, unusual and beautiful photo, indeed!
