Maldives
14 DecWe finally got married and went for honeymoon in the gorgeous Maldives
. It was one of the most beautiful islands I’ve been to
.
We saw lots of wild dolphins, swam with enormous Manta Rays, (cousins with stingrays but harmless and huge like 10 feet wide), spent most of our time snorkeling everyday and enjoying gorgeous reefs in different island. It was sunny everyday and the sea view is just awesome. Really enjoyed my time there
. I’m all tanned now hihi
Looks amazing there!

Goa, India
17 May“Two people met, became friends (not sure when love happened) and decided to get hitched for the better… Like any other inter-caste marriages, this Assamese-Bengali alliance also went through a lot of high drama before it could culminate into marriage that seemed too long to end. Perhaps this was the first time I ever saw such a long wedding affair that I proudly call my own. Rituals and more rituals followed to appease the Assamese and Bong sentiments…
Unlike other honeymooning couples, I assume, our trip was of a different kind…It was not the privacy that we longed for, but rather the adventure and exotic fun that Goa beholds. A neatly planned 6-day trip – 4 days in fun and happening North Goa and 2 days in serene and idyllic South Goa seemed to be the perfect adventure honeymoon antidote…
Beaches are in plenty in Goa. But it depends on what exactly one is looking for… Well, we were in the lookout for serene, tranquil beaches sans prying hawkers and noisy tourists. Morjim, Ashwem, Candolim, Sinquerim are few of the beaches in North Goa that seemed to fit the bill and hence followed bike trips, sun, sand and sunbaths much to our delight… Heavenly breeze of the Arabian Sea shore, gushing waves, and yummy food seemed to be a perfect panacea to our post-wedding fatigue as we blissfully lazed in the beach shacks….Visit to Fort Aguada, Dona Paula, Basilica of Bom Jesus in Old Goa, Wednesday Flea market at Anjuna, Dolphin cruise and numerous water sports are few of the things one would not like to miss out.
With huge number of foreign tourists thronging Goa during the peak season, being in Goa is no less than being in a foreign land… Serene and laid back, adventurous and fun, Goa has something to offer to every individual-from those seeking leisure to those in the lookout for hippy culture and fun..Be it a family holiday, an adventurous sojourn or a romantic getaway, Goa doesn’t seem to disappoint… It’s a place where you’ll want to keep coming more and more… “
Sounds wonderful and great shot!

11 Augsjane84 writes, “My anniversary was last weekend…7 years!! So where was I at this time 7 years ago?? In St. Augustine, FL on my honeymoon. This is one of the last days we spent there. We left just as a tropical storm was heading in.
I really wanted to go para sailing. The water was choppy that day and something was swimming in circles below us (I don’t care what the company that took us out on the boat said, I KNOW they were sharks, not dolphins!!). All in all, the honeymoon was fantastic. Not only was it a chance to celebrate our marriage, but a break from being mom and dad to two beautiful, exhausting, 3 month old, twin cuties. It also made me realize how much I actually missed the little monsters!!
Looking down from the sky”
Sounds like a wonderful time!
