In February 2012, I got to fulfill my lifelong dream of visiting Egypt. Seriously. I have wanted to visit Egypt since I was five. I watched my grandparents, cousin, and best friend go to Egypt while I stayed at home bathing in jealousy. So last year my friend and I decided to do something crazy and take ourselves to Egypt (crazy because there was still riots everywhere in Cairo and our families thought we were Insane with a capital I).
IT WAS EPIC. Really, epic is the only word that I can use to describe the trip. We lounged by the pool, rode on camels, saw the Pyramids, Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Karnak, and even went to the mountain that is thought to be where Moses saw the Burning Bush.

Looks like a great place to stay!

My husband sent me this to make me jealous! Taken around a hotel pool in Bangkok.
Looks like a nice, relaxing place to be, for sure!

“I had the fabulous experience of visiting the Taj Mahal in Agra, India. When I walked onto the balcony of my hotel, I could hardly believe my eyes as I didn’t think I was going to see the Taj until the next morning. Terrific surprise, beautiful view, and I wanted to capture it for you. Enjoy. “
Very beautiful view!

“After 2 flights, including a very tight connection in San Jose due to a delay in Managua, and some duty free shopping, (not sure how it’s all going to get into my bag), I arrived in Panama City around noon. It took me a few minutes to figure out that there is no taxi stand and they just drive through arrivals and you must flag one down, which seems a little odd to me for an airport, but not a big deal.
The Westin only opened about 3 weeks ago, and it is absolutely beautiful, but they have some work to do as far as service and quality of food. Air Transat is bringing Canadians on near daily flights to this resort, so it was full of package holiday makers, which made for an interesting first day, as I was only one of a few not on the all inclusive package…the staff couldn’t seem to figure out who was and wasn’t all inclusive, resulting in my first cervesas being free (bonus). Spent my first day lounging by the pool, taking a long, hot shower, (the best i have had since leaving home), wrapping myself in the Westin robe, literally jumping onto the king sized “heavenly bed” and finally, indulging in room service for dinner!
The rest of my stay at the Westin went much like this:
Wake up, breakfast, lie by pool, lunch, lie by beach, nap in room, dinner, bed. I hardly moved for 3 days and successfully perfected the art of being lazy! “
Sounds so nice and relaxing!

lizard writes, “We started day 7, our last full day in Hawaii, by walking into town (which was easy, because we were technically already *in* town…) and going to a lovely place called Lava Java for breakfast. There I ordered an enormous eggs Benedict (on croissants!) while Sean enjoyed a local treat of waffle with fresh macadamia nuts and bananas. What a way to start the day! It was delicious.
On the walk back to the hotel, we shopped for some souvenirs. We saw a man sitting by the sidewalk weaving hats and bowls out of palm fronds, and we couldn’t resist getting a hat :0)
Lizard in the Banyan Tree
Though it looks a bit silly, it’s kind of awesome to have a hand-woven hat. “
What a great tree and love the hat!

Rob writes, “It’s right beside the famous Fernsehturm, one of Berlin’s landmarks.
I just landed in Berlin, checked in to my hotel, didn’t unpack and went straight in to Berlin, sitting down at this spot, a cold beer close by and admired the view.”
Looks like it must have been a very relaxing trip, nice!
