Never on a Tuesday … for I shall spend that day pondering.

Whilst taking a trip down pictorial memory lane, I found this picture from when I was traveling around Cambodia.

Great shot!
I recently returned from a week-long break in The Canary Islands, with a good friend and fellow wine lover! Our week of winter sunshine was just what the doctor ordered for both of us; a chance to top up the tan and explore a new place (my holiday goals) and a chance to relax and rejuvenate while sipping on copious amounts of wine and cocktails (my friend’s holiday goals!).
Looks like Mission Accomplished!

In February 2012, I got to fulfill my lifelong dream of visiting Egypt. Seriously. I have wanted to visit Egypt since I was five. I watched my grandparents, cousin, and best friend go to Egypt while I stayed at home bathing in jealousy. So last year my friend and I decided to do something crazy and take ourselves to Egypt (crazy because there was still riots everywhere in Cairo and our families thought we were Insane with a capital I).
IT WAS EPIC. Really, epic is the only word that I can use to describe the trip. We lounged by the pool, rode on camels, saw the Pyramids, Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Karnak, and even went to the mountain that is thought to be where Moses saw the Burning Bush.

Looks like a great place to stay!

When we went here: On daddy’s birthday on January 12th, 2013
We were here for 7 hours from 11 am. to 6 pm.
After a hard play in Wild Wild Wet, Rafael slept for 11 hours at night and another 3 hours at noon the following day. Plus I had to massage his hands and feet for several times because he said he was so tired, hahaha…..
My boy is getting bigger now…..he showed his courage which I never had seen before. I guess he is braver now because of his increasing age…..but on the other hand…..his parents are becoming more timid with the increasing of their age.
For more information, please visit their website at http://www.wildwildwet.com. Don’t forget that life jackets are provided for free in 4 different sizes in many places around this area, so it is highly recommended that children wear them.
Looks like Dad had a pretty good birthday!

With two-for-one cocktails on offer all day, this Fruit Tingle was only one of many. And after several hours at the bar, conveniently located in the swimming pool, photos were about all Aaron’s feet were good for!
That drink sure looks good!

Bilgola Beach, Sydney, Australia
A morning swim at the ocean baths, next to Bilgola Beach, about 20km north of Sydney. A very fortunately timed shot. Got the seabird perfectly but was pleasantly surprised by the elegant swimmers toes gliding out of the water. The splashing wave was another bonus. The guy at the centre left is just making up the numbers.
Perfect timing, excellent shot!

Pool Feet
I love to swim at the beach all year around, although in autumn, (about April, May in the southern hemisphere), the water starts to get cooler. I went for a dip in the ocean pool at Freshwater Beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Sometimes we don’t want to dive in, but once you take the plunge it’s always worth it! My blog reflects the Australian beach lifestyle and how we interact with the coastal environment. Taken by me with a GoPro camera (waterproof).
Looks great!

Detox: If there’s one word that separates my recent vacation to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic from previous vacations, it would be detox. Previous vacations, for one reason or another, required a vacation from the vacation. This one was quite different. I spent my days laying on the beach or poolside at the Melia Tropical Resort from September 30th through October 9th, 2012. The best part was the lack of connectivity to the rest of the world. There was no cell phone service. Well, I wasn’t willing to pay international roaming charges. There was no internet service. The internet service that was available for $15, which I paid for on the 5th day, right in the middle of the vacation, was somewhat spotty. And there was limited TV service. ESPN Deportes was not a viable option, which was only watched for the occasional review of the scrolling scoreboard, and even that took a little imagination to figure out. All-in-all, I spent the vast majority of the vacation disconnected from the world, enjoying my time in the sun (and shade). Between 4 and 6 hours of every day was spent in the ocean or pool. The swim-up pool bar was a nice touch, making things simple for those of us that like to enjoy a cocktail or two (or ten).
Sounds like a great trip!
