jbuzzyphotography writes, “The other day I went out with my friend Patrick and asked him to set up his slack line for a location shoot. Slacklining is a balance sport similar to tightrope walking . A nylon webbing is slung between two posts or trees and tightened. Walking, tricking, and yoga are all common activities done on slacklines.
Getting to know the subject (both person & activity) you are shooting is always important. In my case I have been slackening for over a year and I happen to be rooming with Patrick. I knew I wanted to show the activity in a way that those who have not seen slacklining would understand and then another shot highlighting the athleticism and intensity of the activity. The first step is always to test your ambient lighting:”
Great photos of this sport!
