Few weeks ago I arrived at Kuala Lumpur unknowing that temperatures there were so high. I tried to do as much tourism I could. The city is worth visiting but, at the end, all you want to do is stay near the pool with a nice cold drink to cool off! Definitely was time well spent.

He was like a bouncing ball, in and out of the pool, for literally hours on end. Oh, what I’d give for even an ounce of that energy!

Connor was born in March and diagnosed shortly afterward with tuberous sclerosis complex, a rare genetic condition that causes benign tumors to grow on organs. He spent five weeks in NICU while doctors tried to get his seizures under control. At four months old he had surgery to remove the brain tumor that was causing most of his seizures. He is doing much better now at 8 months old. He is giggly, happy and an easy baby as far as normal baby stuff goes. This was his first trip to his grandparents in Venice, Fl. He’s quite perplexed by the giant bathtub.
I’m trying to raise awareness of this disease because it shares the same neural pathways as autism, epilepsy, and many cancers. Research benefits everyone!

My wife and I love Italy, in particular we love the small village of Positano which clings to the cliffs that make up the Amalfi Coast. Our favourite place to stay is Eden Roc Hotel and a favourite place to pass time is beside or in their pool. To us it’s the definition of heaven.

Its the weekend so we haven’t been doing much work other then little film missions early in the morning. During the day we float wildly around in the pool. I grabbed the camera yesterday armed with an Old TOKINA 28mm 2.8. I used 2 ND filters to allow me to stop all the way down to 2.8 in the middle of the day. Got some really interesting photos…”

My day started off with a Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie and a relaxing time at the pool reading my new Oprah magazine. (Yesterday was the mailbox trifecta of awesomeness. I received a True Blood Netflix DVD, O Magazine and my new yoga top and Havanas flip-flops from Athleta!). So you could say my day was a success.
