I think my Parents were on Drugs………
Must be hard trying to find shoes!
While my family and I were in Dallas over Christmas break, to celebrate the engagement of my sister and her extremely awesome fiance, I spent most of my time with said people who were celebrating said engagement
And it was sooo much fun ^_^
They were extremely sweet and took me to Shabby Sheep, my sister’s LYS (yep, she’s a knitter to!
)
There I found extreme awesomeness, and ended up coming out with two skeins of yarn and an adorable project bag. It was epic.
One of the skeins ended up being my Renfrew hat, which I blogged about recently…
So what was the other skein that I got, and what am I doing with it?
Fun shot!

Reading Date at a Coffee Shop
My husband and I have a coffee date on the weekend, and we love taking our shoes off and getting cozy on one of the couches at our favorite coffee shop and read all day long.
Great idea and nice shot!

The observation car on the Amtrak passenger train, has got to be the best part of riding the rails. Even on a rainy day, there was just so much to take in while rolling across Texas. After dinner in the dining car, this is where we landed. It is the perfect relaxing space. On this particular rainy evening, just before a brief stop in Austin, Texas, it became the perfect “gathering” place.
Mason is the young man on the left. He too, began in Springfield…destination L.A. His conversations were mostly in “song”. When he left and came back with his guitar, well, I could hardly control myself. Music. Raw sweet music. I get lost in it. I looked at hubby and by the look in his eyes, I could see he was thinking of our “boy band” at home, too. (okay ~ my sons would HATE being called a boy band….but then, I am the one penning this!
) Mason was amazing. You could give him a subject or just a word and he would immediately produce an awesome country song about it. And not just silly stuff….GOOD STUFF! And once he would begin his song, Mike would join in with the hip-hop. It was an amazing evening. There is no other place on earth I’d have rather been.
That really sounds like it’s up there in as good as it gets territory!

“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about dancing in the rain.” -Vivian Greene
Isn’t it funny how you sometimes get what you need at the exact moment that you need it? I have to admit, recently my windshield of life has been a bit foggy. Not because I don’t have what I want, but because I just didn’t know what I needed. I saw this quote on a window and instantly had a hippie moment. Right on man. Right on.
So very true and great shot!

“In 2007 I had to have foot surgery to remove an especially painful Morton’s Neuroma. I was confined to being off my feet for 3 days. After the first day, I was terribly bored and I asked my daughter if she’d mind to give me some of her old fashion magazines that had collected in a dusty pile in her room. She brought me down a stack and I began to cut out human “parts” and I turned my bandaged foot into a paper doll, of sorts. I also sent these photos to my podiatrist and he framed them for his office! “
Have to hand it to you for turning an injury into fun! They’re hysterical!
