On The Road To Pokhara, Nepal

16 Sep

After lessons today, we are off to visit the other team in Pokhara. It’s the second biggest city in Nepal, but far more picturesque. The only issue is the transport. The local buses are just very uncomfortable. A 15-seater bus won’t budge from the station until there’s 20 people on it.  Even after they crawl out of the bay, a Nepali man screams out of the open door in a bid to pick up any passing stragglers/hitchhikers/contortionists. We got caught in a traffic jam before we even left the city limits, and the 6 hour journey took just over 8.

If you look closely, you can see me looking unnecessarily happy in the shadowy depths of the minibus.
